Greetings! I was born in Tulia, TX, which makes me a proud Texan. Go Cowboys! After my father was made pastor, my family moved to Liberal, KS in 1985. After graduating in 1996, I attended Washburn University in Topeka, KS and majored in political science and English. I worked at the Washburn Law School Library because my intentions were to become a lawyer. During my sophomore year, I met the man of my dreams, Minister John Green, and my life changed. We got married on October 3, 1998, started our family, and moved back to Liberal in 1999. After marrying, I changed my major and achieved an AA in English, Cultural Anthropology, and Sociology, AS in Business and in Science. Then, I transferred to OPSU and graduated with a BA in Secondary English Education and started teaching at West Middle School in 2005. I am currently pursuing my MA in English and Education from KSU.
I have two beautiful, blessed children—Deladris and Aleczis. I enjoy ministering and evangelizing, alongside my husband, singing, traveling, watching movies, reading classic literature, attending my children’s activities, and spending quality time with my family.
I am not a cynic but an optimist that believes that “All things work together for the good” and that all dreams can come true through faith and action, but a person must believe!
“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”
