Personal Information:

Before I received my teaching degree and license I was in the Air Force for 6 years. I grew up in Northwest Kansas by Topeka.  While I was in the Air Force I lived in Washington D.C for 5 1/2 years.  I was in the United States Air Force Honor Guard.  In the Honor Guard I took part of different ceremonies from funerals in Arlington National Cememtary to Presidential Arrivials at the White House.  After my time was done in the Honor Guard I became a Chaplain Assistant and worked at the Base Chapel.  After six years of serving my country I decided it was time for a change of course.  I have always enjoyed teaching so it seemed like a natural fit to decide to go back to school and recieve my degree in education.  I came back to Kansas and went to school at Washburn University in Topeka.  At Washburn I received a Bachelor or Arts in History with a minor in Political Science.  While in college I traveled to Peru as a part of a class that looked into the culture and language.  It was interested to so many great sites in Peru.  I love to travel aboard and see different historical sites. When I took my certificaiton exams for teaching I took the math endorsement test and passed. I recieved my Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University,  I am pursuing a Master of Science in School Counseling from Fort Hays State University. I am a person that wants to be involved in my school and community.  I have been a coach for volleyball, swimming, soccer and basketball.  I also officiated for Volleyball.  During the summer I have worked at Adventure Bay Family Waterpark here in Liberal. I recently obtained my NAUI Scuba Instructor rating so I can train people to scuba dive.  I host an after school study hall for all students who need help.  If any one ever has any questions please don't hestiate to give me a call or send me an email.
